Save your document with a new name,i.e. Page 1, etc.
Q: What program do I need to use these templates?

This site is not affiliated with The Menu Maker or Design your Own Menu; you will need to use your "back" button to return to us!
Q: When I open my template, some of it is off the page.
A: This sometimes happens with older versions of Word, or if your version/document is set-up to only show the "printable" area. However, it's easy to fix.
Simply move the background image to fit, and then move your text boxes if needed.
All you do is Type!
Our templates are pre-formatted page layouts that include the background images,
layout and fonts. Some have moveable clipart. You can add your logo if you choose.
After your choose your selection and make your payment, you will receive a link that lets you download your template package to your computer. You open the templates with Microsoft Word or IBM Lotus, highlight the text you want to change, and type!
Convenient and Versatile
The advantage to having your menu stored on your computer is convenience.
Whenever needed, you can adjust prices, remove items that aren't selling,
add new items, add trial-basis items, offer specials --
you have complete control of what you're offering and what to charge.
Each package offers several styles from which to choose,
depending on the number of items you offer. If you'd like, you can remove the text,
add your restaurant info, and use as letterhead!
What size are the pages?
All of our templates are letter-size (some are available in 2 sizes -- letter and legal) and can easily be converted to A4 or B4 (International Metric Size). Simply convert your document size and adjust the background image and text boxes to fit. Unlike laminated menus, using Menu Jackets gives you the option of making updates and changes quickly and affordably.
Q: What size are the templates?
A: All of the templates are designed as 8.5" x 11";
some are also available as 8.5" x 14".
They can easily be converted to A4 and B4 within your program. Simply convert your document size and adjust the background image to fit.
Q: I have a different number of items than the template.
A: You can delete text by highlighting it, and using your delete button. To add text, you can "copy and paste" (Highlight the text you want to copy; click Edit; highlight Copy; place your curser where you want to insert the new text. Press Enter.) You may also need to adjust the line spacing, and in some cases, the size of the text.
Q: Can I use my own stationary with your template(s)?
A: You can remove the background image, and still use the text templates.
Q: Are the templates reusable?
A: Definitely! After you open your template, perform a SAVE AS and give your document a new title, i.e. Appetizers, etc.
Q: Will all of the image fit on the page?
A: The Menu Maker templates are designed with a 1/4" printer's margin on all 4 sides. If your printer requires more, and doesn't automatically adjust to fit, you can reduce the size of the background by clicking on the image, and moving the handles.
