First we discuss your needs -- your designer will ask you questions about your eatery, clientele, current menu, time frame, etc. Then we need a copy of your "updated" menu and logo. By updated we mean revised prices, additions & deletions, and a list of your higher profit items. Interior photos are super helpful for design inspiration.
We design 1-2 pages (or panels) for you as your initial proof. Provided you like what you see, we continue in that style*, and e-mail you full-color proofs for overall review, and black & white copies for your proof copy. Your quote includes 2 proofs; additional changes will be billed at our hourly rate. After we receive your final, approved changes, allow 2 weeks for printing and delivery. (Rush orders are available.)
Payment info: 1/2 required at time of order and 1/2 at time of delivery. *If design/style changes are made after your initial approval, those changes will be billed at the hourly rate. Your initial deposit covers the designer's fee, and is nonrefundable. However, we're sure you'll find working with The Menu Maker to be one of your best business decisions!

How do I purchase a template?
The Buy Now button takes you to the secure site of PayPal. After your completed transaction, you will receive an email with a link to download your file. No shipping charges, and you can start designing your new menu immediately!
What do I do after I've downloaded my template?
Open your template in Microsoft Word; highlight the text you want to change, then re-type (or type-over) the highlighted text. For example, highlight "Category", and then type "Appetizers". Save your document with a new name.
What program do I need to use these templates?
Microsoft Word, version 97 or newer.
When I open my template, some of it is off the page.
This sometimes happens with older versions of Word, or if your version/document is set-up to only show the "printable" area. However, it's easy to fix. Simply move the background image to fit, and then move your text boxes if needed.
I have more (or less) items than the template allows; how do I fix that?
You can delete any lines you don't need by highlighting them, and using your delete button. To add text, you can copy and paste: Highlight the text you want to copy. Click Edit. Highlight Copy. Place your curser where you want to insert the new text. Press Enter.
Can I use my own stationary with your template?
You can remove the background image, and still use the text templates. Likewise, you can use the background images for other things, i.e. flyers, etc.
Are the templates reusable?
Definitely! After you open your template, perform a SAVE AS and give your document a new title, i.e. Page 1, Appetizers, etc.
How do I print so the ink goes all the way to the edges of the paper?
Very few printers allow that; most printers need an inkless edge to 'grip'. If you'd like this look (called full-bleed), you will need to print your page on larger sized paper, and trim the page to fit.
